The 2016 season will be Viola's 10th in professional baseball and will mark his fifth as the Director of PR/Media Relations for the Charlotte Knights -- the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox. Viola, 34, spent the previous two seasons (2010-11) in the same role working for the Reading Phillies, the Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

From 2008-09, Viola was the Media Relations Assistant/Radio Studio Host for the Lehigh Valley IronPigs -- the Triple-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.

A 2003 graduate of Penn State University, Viola credits his grandfathers, father, and Gary Carter for his love of baseball. A native of Brooklyn, NY, Viola eats, sleeps, and breathes baseball.
